| Amsterdam HotelsAmsterdam is the capital and largest city of the
Netherlands, located in the south province of North Holland. The name Amsterdam literally means Amstel dam, where the famous Amstel lager originated from. There is no shortage of hotels in Amsterdam, many of which are clustered around the Dam Square and up and down the canals. Amsterdam hotels are generally expensive and for a good 4 star hotel, prices start from around £90 per night, however that is not particularly expensive considering it is a capital city.

Amsterdam enjoys a moderate temperate climate, with the weather
patterns being strongly influenced by Amsterdam's proximity

winds and gales. Winter temperatures are mild: on average

of easternly or northeasternly winds blowing in from the inner
European continent.
